There are 3 main ways to export raw survey data from Stella connect. They each have their own unique advantage and processes. Take a look below for the details on each.
Manual Data Export through 'Export Responses'
As an Admin within your Account Settings, you will find a tile called "Export Reponses." This will lead you to a page specifically designed for exporting survey day.
First, choose if you'd prefer to export All request, or just requests with responses. Then choose the date range you'd like to export. Keep in mind you can only export up to 3 months at a time.
Then, click the Export button. Your o should automatically download or it will bring you to a page in order to restart it. You will be notified via email when your export is ready. The Recent Exports list helps you stay informed of recent reports, when they were requested and at what date. You can also re-download an export here if you've misplaced it. After 24 hours, these downloads expire and you'll have to run the export again.
Data Return API
Stella Connect offers a Data Return API to allow you to retrieve Connect responses programmatically into your own systems. We offer details on the technical requirements, how to request data, and what to expect from the data that is returned in our API Data Return Articles. You can find them below:
Data Return in Google Sheets
An enhanced version of our data return feature enables you to flow data from Stella Connect directly into Google sheets via a Google Sheets add-on. Once enabled, this will make it easier to quickly retrieve data in Google Sheets, without going through the export responses screen in Connect. You can retrieve data from any time period for which you have been using Stella Connect, by specifying optional start dates and end dates, 10,000 responses per request.
How do you use it?
Install the Stella Connect add-on from the Google Chrome store. Once installed, you can find the Stella Connect add-on under your add-on section in Google Sheets. Enter your API key, secret key, start date, and end date, and click the Load button to retrieve responses.
You can find more information here.
Exporting Metrics
You can export your teams' or team members' performance metrics as well from the Teams or Team Members reports. Find out more about those here.
